Grading Policy:

• Ten percent of your grade will be awarded upon completion of all of the quizzes in the "Internet Textbook" (if all the quizzes are not completed, partial credit will be awarded). Students may take the quizzes as many as four times. We will keep track of each student's best grade on any particular quiz, and his/her final grade will reflect the best grade that he/she earned on each quiz. By the way, each time a student takes the quiz, a different set of questions will be posed.
• Twenty percent of your grade is based on the results of laboratory quizzes.
• Thirty percent of your grade is based on completion of the DSAP form. We'll provide much more information about this process as the course proceeds.
• The bulk of your grade (40%) will be awarded on the basis of a paper that you write about your Artemia gene. The paper is due sometime during the final exam period in December (we will announce the due date at a later time). More information concerning the contents of this paper will be forthcoming during the course.
• Each unexcused absence will lower your final grade by 1/2 (i.e, if you earned a B, you would fall to a C+ if you missed one class).
